The British drama first aired in the U.S. as a part of “Masterpiece Classics” in , but what many fans don’t know is that the Emmy-winning show was inspired from a book published in Situated just to the west of Banbury, Wroxton Abbey is a fine Jacobean mansion which was built on the foundations of a 13th-century Augustinian priory.
